The activity was conducted online and took place in the Tourism Destination Division Room, Denpasar City Tourism Office.
This activity aimed to monitor and evaluate the implementation of assistance and development programs for tourism accommodation, particularly digital-based accommodations such as Airbnb, as well as other non-formal accommodation providers.
In addition, the meeting served as a coordination forum between the central and local governments to strengthen supervision, data collection, and compliance of accommodation business operators with applicable tourism regulations.

Airbnb Accommodation Data in the I-PAR Application

Based on the data presentation from the I-PAR Dashboard as of 7 November 2025, the total number of Airbnb accommodations recorded nationwide reached 6,346 units, of which 983 units or approximately 15% have been supervised. Bali Province recorded the highest number of Airbnb accommodations, totaling 2,612 units, followed by West Java Province with 2,368 units.
Although the overall supervision rate remains below 15%, Bali and West Java are among the regions with the highest number of supervised accommodations, with 400 units in Bali and 336 units in West Java. This data indicates the need for continuous improvement in supervision intensity and assistance efforts.
Mapping of Airbnb Accommodations by Regency/City in Bali

The mapping results show that Airbnb accommodations in Bali Province are classified into three regional clusters based on the number of units. The first cluster consists of Gianyar Regency and Badung Regency, which recorded the highest numbers, with 859 units and 858 units, respectively.
This reflects the strong tourist demand for leading destinations such as Ubud, as well as popular areas including Kuta, Seminyak, and Canggu in Badung Regency.
The second cluster includes Denpasar City, Buleleng Regency, Karangasem Regency, and Tabanan Regency, with accommodation numbers ranging from 100 to 316 units. Meanwhile, the third cluster comprises Bangli Regency, Jembrana Regency, and Klungkung Regency, each with fewer than 100 units.
Denpasar City recorded 109 Airbnb accommodation units, indicating its role as one of the key supporting areas for tourism activities in Bali Province.
Supervision Data on Non-Registered Accommodations

Based on the supervision results, a total of 400 accommodations in Bali Province have been supervised. Of this number, 187 accommodations, or approximately 47%, have not yet obtained a Business Identification Number (NIB). This highlights the relatively high number of non-registered accommodations that still require further guidance and follow-up actions.
Denpasar City recorded the highest number of non-registered accommodations, totaling 53 units, followed by several other regencies/cities. In contrast, Bangli Regency recorded the lowest number, with only 2 non-registered accommodations.
Through this Monitoring and Evaluation Zoom Meeting, it is expected that stronger synergy will be established between the central and local governments to enhance the effectiveness of assistance, development, and supervision of tourism accommodations.
The Denpasar City Tourism Office remains committed to supporting data collection and development programs in order to achieve well-managed, administratively compliant, and sustainable tourism accommodation management.
This activity is expected to contribute positively to improving the quality of tourism accommodation management in Denpasar City and to maintaining the city’s image as a competitive and high-quality tourism destination.
