Education is one strategy that can be used to end ignorance and poverty, as both issues are still prevalent in Indonesia, as is well known. In addition, new data from the SMERU Institute research institute indicates that children from low-income homes typically have lower adult incomes.
A contributing component in this situation is the individual’s inadequate educational background. This demonstrates that breaking free from the cycle of poverty is harder than most people think.
The importance of education should be understood by everybody, as receiving a quality education may help one’s horizons expand and provide them with a variety of knowledge that will be valuable to them in the future (Maulidina, 2019).
Since education is accessible everywhere and at any time, there is no compelling reason to give up on it. We ought to be aware of this as a result. Education may benefit everyone in the future, as it is very beneficial for our own future as well as everyone else’s. For this reason, having an education is crucial (Firdaus & Fadhir, 2019).
The following are the benefits of education for the future:
1. Education Opens More Job Opportunities
A person with more education has a better chance of succeeding in the future. A person can acquire the information and skills required in the workforce by receiving a quality education. Furthermore, education makes it possible for someone to pursue a job in areas of interest like science, technology, the arts, and so forth. A person might be in a better position to realize their goals and desires if they have a strong education.
2. Education may Boost One’s Confidence and Character.
Education not only imparts knowledge and abilities but also helps develop a person’s character and self-assurance. Values like bravery to take chances, perseverance, and self-confidence are among those that people learn in school.
A person with strong morals and a great degree of confidence in themselves will be able to handle whatever obstacles they may encounter in life. In addition, education facilitates the development of interpersonal communication and interaction skills, which are critical for fostering positive social interactions.
3. Education Establishes Morals and Principles
Instilling morality and values in the next generation is one of education’s most significant functions. Education teaches students how to act morally and responsibly in addition to intellectual content. A person will learn values like integrity, honesty, discipline, and hard work at school.
In addition, education stresses the value of honoring the distinctions and rights of others. A person with a strong education will develop positive interpersonal skills and become competitive (Rasyid, 2015).
4. Reduce Poverty
Our future is significantly impacted by our education. A good career may be obtained with education. Additionally, education is usually included as a prerequisite for any position that various businesses, like booths or stores, provide. Thus, education plays a crucial part in enabling us to live better lives. We can support our family and ourselves by getting employment with the help of our education.
5. Does Obtaining an Education Help One Land a Job Only?
It’s a popular misconception that education is necessary just for employment purposes. But in reality, education plays a larger part than that. Education helps shape a person’s personality and gets them ready for daily life, in addition to imparting knowledge and skills needed for the workplace.
One can develop into a person with broad understanding, innovative thinking, and excellent morals by receiving a decent education. This will enable someone to succeed in society, their personal life, and their work (Maulidina, 2019).

When it comes to building a person’s foundation for the future, education is crucial. An individual with a strong education is more likely to succeed in both their personal and professional lives. Education helps develop character, values, and self-confidence in addition to imparting information and abilities. As a result, it is critical that everyone appreciate and give priority to their education.
