Jakarta, March 14, 2025 — How does it feel to learn while making your own product? Students of the Economic Education Study Program, FKIP, Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka (Uhamka) have the answer! In the third meeting of the Creative Economy course, students were challenged to hone their creativity in an unusual way.
They were not only invited to understand the theory of the creative economy, but also to dive straight into practice: creating products, building brands, and presenting them professionally.
Fun and Realistic Creative Challenges Each group of students was asked to create a unique product name and brand.
The result? A variety of fresh ideas emerged—from culinary products, fashion, to creative accessories. All were presented attractively using MAXHUB’s interactive digital devices.
“It feels like having our own business! We were invited to think, strategize, and appear as if we were real creative industry players,” said one of the students enthusiastically. Directly Accompanied by Inspiring Lecturers This activity was guided directly by Dr. Camelia Safitri, M.Pd., a lecturer in charge of the Creative Economy course.
She encouraged students not to be afraid to experiment and to continue to train their innovation skills. In an active and dynamic classroom atmosphere, students were guided so that they would not only be ready as economic educators, but also as reliable prospective entrepreneurs.
“Creative economy is not just about ideas, but how we make them happen. That is what we emphasize in this class,” explained Dr. Camelia.
Opportunities to Become Future Creative Economy Actors Through this kind of learning, students not only learn economic theory, but also experience the real creative process—from thinking of ideas, developing marketing strategies, to conveying business concepts to the public.
