University Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” East Java is a public university in Indonesia located in Surabaya, East Java. UPN “Veteran” East Java was established on July 5, 1959 which currently has 8 faculties and 30 study programs.
In 2023, UPN “Veteran” East Java opens several new study programs, one of which is English for Business and Professional Communication (BISPRO), which is included in the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. This study program is also the first and only D4 study program at UPN “Veteran” East Java.
This study program is designed to produce graduates who can understand English more deeply, especially in the business and professional fields, also have wider job prospects than English education or literature.
As we know, every university must have an annual routine activity, namely PKKMB with the aim of introducing campus life to new students in the transition period from high school to college. Likewise, UPN “Veteran” East Java carried out “PKKMB” activities offline this year.
There are several PKKMB networks that are carried out alternately. Starting with PKKMB faculty, continued with PKKMB university, and ending with PKKMB major.
Although BISPRO is a new department, it still has to carry out PKKMB this year. There are many activities carried out in the PKKMB process of this department.
Starting from the remarks and introduction of all BISPRO lecturers, the presentation of the D4 BISPRO curriculum, material on ethics, motivation, the task of making self-introduction reels, content writing assignments, ice breaking games, and campus tours.
